Australian research star of 2018 – Prof Ivan Darby

Congratulations to Prof Ivan Darby, who has been named as the leading researcher in the field of dentistry in The Australian’s Research magazine. eviDent is fortunate to have Prof Darby as a Chief Investigator and member of the Dental Practice Based Research team.
Prof Darby was Chief Investigator for the Diagnosis, treatment and maintenance of periodontal patients by general dentists and is currently involved as a Chief Investigator with the following projects:
- Say Ahhh: What do GPs, dentists and community pharmacists do about bad breath?
- Dental health and attitudes in young adults aged 15–25 years with diabetes mellitus
- Dentists detecting diabetes: Improving diabetes outcomes by screening for undiagnosed diabetes
